If Dusk Could Ever Speak
If Dusk Could Ever Speak
What if twilight could quote words
And speak out to this world
Or maybe it got a face someday
Even if it was bright, dark, hazy or grey?
If ever the setting sun could verbalise
And adorn its beauty itself
By adding profuse adverbs
To its reddened and orangish colours.
And then ever if the evenings get a voice
Allowing them to chit-chat
What are they actually gonna gossip about
Of how was the day or their last selfie pout?
Or maybe they babble on the chilling winters
Or about how scorching the sun was
And perhaps why they love clouds
Alike couples falling for their spouse.
But there’s a lot more dusk might have to say
After-all, it’s the homecoming to some.
For the ones working all day long
Getting drained out, yet pretending to be strong.
But maybe it wishes to have a date
Or an adventurous night out
Or maybe the dusk just needs a peaceful walk
Beneath the stars for a deep meaningful talk.
And if ever in a lifetime the dusk could speak
It might blast on the eve teasers
For the crap they’ve been doing all this while
Or maybe it gives them a lesson in its own style.
