The Thoughtless Thunderbolt
The Thoughtless Thunderbolt
A million bricks of love and trust,
Pillars of hope that wouldn't rust;
The cement of joys mixed with tears,
Perfect enough to stand for years!
Three years of restless toil,
Handpicked granules of soil -
Was all it took for the skeleton
To stand with the support of none.
It became the talk of the town -
That the hardest storms couldn't break it down!
Floored with the firm, unbounded trust,
Roofed with love devoid of dust;
Furnished with windows of endless hope
And an iron door as an envelope -
Of all monuments, it was simply the best -
Built by two minds - with no rest!
It stood the storm of risks and fears,
The flood of envies and of tears.
The fire of wrath couldn't burn it a bit;
The entire world kept admiring it...
With all its glory, there came a day,
When a bit of it just blew away!
But mind you! It didn't break apart -
But the thoughtless thunderbolt breached a part.
