The Sun

There is so much that you give

A new beginning to what seemed to end.

There is so much brightness around

Everything is so new and fresh

Yet no one seems to wake up

To your bright and silent sound.

The birds do chirp and the breeze does sway

Every little branch

That needed to be woken up this way.

I see movement all around 

As long as you stay

Hope is all that we have

When we have you

Coming our way.

It might be bright 

It might be hot

But it does bring an end 

To the darkness and the wrath.

Keep shining dear one

Let us meet every day.

I might forget to welcome you

But you make way for us every day.
