The tender was the age,
Has never been a cage.
Surety from your side,
Was never to be denied.
I owe my life to your brother,
Who’s always acted as a father.
You do more than what your age expects,
Always contended to do what you get.
To delineate you is what I can’t do,
Words fall short for me.
To portray you is a colossal task,
A work which my soul asks.
In the ups and downs of life.
You’ve always taught me to be on the positive side.
Your teachings arouse the sense of optimist feelings,
Which has a plethora of wonderful dealings?
This cord of surety will never snap,
Tied on your wrist to defend you from all traps.
Pledge is what I need from you,
As indispensable to go along with you.
Let us take a solemn vow on this day,
That both of us will never go astray.
I promise you on this auspicious day,
The Raksha bond of brother and sister will never wash away.
