THE PROTAGONIST YOU SEEK

I hold no obligations towards those around me, 

So I choose to not show. 

I may not be the one surrounded by many 

But that day, I chose what I wore. 

 

If I happen to not escape from myself, 

I shall resist the weight of the weights on my feet. 

But if ever, I wait for the agony to pass itself, 

I shall be the one to bow to defeat. 

 

I see them all stand beside me 

But never would I be the one to look inside. 

For all I know, their demons fear me. 

It is after all not I, who needs to figure out why they hide. 

 

But in this moment, I choose to let go, 

And when I choose my end, taking over is what I leave to you. 

Because once I leave this all up to hope, 

I am You.
