The Myth Of Honesty

Haunted by the needs,

Which the society prefixed,

He is running,

Though self-esteem warned,

He ignored those alarms of betrayal,

Bombarded with the persons and their emotions,

He learnt to lie,

It has given me peace at the start,

Respect in the home,

And he felt like a blessed soul,

As time passed,

Like old paint on the wall,

He has thrown into vessels of sarcastic comments,

Surrendered to the trust issues,

He has no other option,

Except cheating himself,

To look into the mirror,

He thought for a long period,

In which the myth of being honest,

Vanished some years ago.
