The Journey
The Journey
Gone are the days when we were small, used to play with bat and ball
Laughing and giggling, chocolates and cakes, life was running smooth without any brakes
One day we entered school, it was new but seemed little cool
Rules and regulations, assignments and calculations…long lunch breaks, those give and takes
School was over, college started…old friends parted, few departed
Bunks and canteen, Laptops and screen…late night movies and haunted stories
Finally the day came for the last exam, no more sir, no more mam
Graduation completed, all succeeded…..memories intact but lost contact
Then came the corporate chapter and life became different, before and after
Fixed timelines, many guidelines … new work culture, worries about future
Lot to learn, lot to earn...stones to turn, mountains to churn
Somehow it does not convince the brain, can someone in the world try explain
When time gets tough and life becomes rough, who will stand by my side and fill my eyes with utmost pride
This is the question that keeps me awake, I hope this is not a mistake
So, this is the journey from child to colleague, way to go in the long league.
