The Friendly Stranger
The Friendly Stranger
Lollipops, candies you may find?
Cakes, pastries, you can get,
You must now open your eyes,
And get down to the Golden Square market.
So to the Golden Square Market I decide to go,
In search of the candies, I craved!
The winds did blows strong,
But I felt that I could be saved.
There were stalls selling garments,
Lipsticks in many shades,
There were even stalls of cooked foods,
People were scattered all over the places.
I was greeted by a strange man,
He seemed to be rather friendly,
I couldn't help but thinking he might be quite creepy,
I wondered if he was at all safe to speak.
Before I could open my mouth,
He shouted, "For you, I have some candies! "
I walked towards him to the east,
She gave some lollies and candies.
"But how did you know?" I asked,
"Do you want them or not?" He said,
Silently, the candies and lollies, she passed.
Suddenly disappeared before I could pay.
As I walked away I heard a croaky voice
Or was it, perhaps, a day dream.
