The Examination

Hey student, my dear......

I have learnt lately that

You become so anxious and scared

Whenever, to you, I am announced.

Who am I?

Oh, to introduce ...... I am the so called, straining and exhausting, 

EXAMINATION.

But you must not, from me, fear.

For I am there just to check

Your power of explanation and expression. 

 A little attention to the teacher's voice 

 In classroom......

 Thus, avoiding the unimportant noise......

 And when the time arrives you will be    able 

 To overcome all the stress and tension.

I often come to see you

Not to define your calibre

But, if you allow,

To make you learn the disciplined manner.

 So, if you follow a proper time table,

 You will be able to manage

 Even the last minute pressure and exertion.

My darling and ever brightening little star,

 Oh, the precious child,

 Don't imagine me as a wretch

 Who crosses your path often 

 Just to gulp you down

 But, let me once be thought of as your  guiding light

Who approaches you timely every now and then

So as to make you understand the world around you much more and better,

To make you face the challenges in a confident manner

And hence, to bring you a step closer to be, what they call as a Winner.

No matter what, where and how

I will always be a shadow of yours

But, you must not, from me, fear.

For I am not any entangling, haunted house.

Just believe in your capabilities 

And my wishes for you,

Remembering what I told you just now.

That is how I will have more friends like you,

And You, shining bright like a star,

A rainbow full of flying colours

Spread in the sky.....

Near and far.
