You go away to the other side

Of the door

Every time that I mess up

But couldn't you be

A little more forgiving

As you have locked the door

Oh so tight

That not even my essence can reach you.

I wish you would leave

A little creak in that damned door

So that you would hear

This lifeless trunk begging for warmth

The sunken eyes asking for pity

And the broken soul asking for mercy.
