The Decision

Teaching students all his life,

He learnt a lot himself,

Loosing his sickly wife,

He started living for himself.

 

Happily teaching and saving,

His life was all set,

Just untill it was all raining,

Two women entered all wet.

 

Out of his generosity,

He gave them both shelter,

One of them was in her pregnancy,

And the other one was her protector.

 

After quite sometime, there was a new born in the house,

A place where once it was all peaceful,

Now it was a madhouse.

 

One fine morning,

The little one was left alone,

Lying on the cot and crying,

Telling everyone she was now disowned.

 

The love he had,

The compassion he shared,

10 years of his life,

Each moment did he strive.

 

A burden, all she was for him,

But now her smile was his only aim,

Then, it was difficult to keep her back,

Now it was diificult to send her back.

 

That 10 year old kid,

Behind him she hid,

For her mother was a stranger now,

Who wanted to take her anyhow.

 

Always were his decisions affected by people's will,

But now keeping the little princess back was his freewill,

A sense of relief did he experience,

A decision he made that was impervious.
