The Bar

The Bar

In the strange lil town , on one fine night

I am planning to miss my flight

Thinking about the life,

I walked through the street with a back pack

The heart full of sorrows I walk to the bar

The bar was shady as I entered first,

The walk through takes me to the different world

The bar was not a normal Bar

Chairs and tables around the place.

Couples and friends hauling loud,

Wow! That was a different space.

The idea of missing flight

I guess was right

Here I go ordering some black & white

Holding my chair on the edge of bar slab

Hearing people having fun and clap

Being unknown to the town I sat

In between people with fancy hat

I saw a girl with a glass and tears rolling down

Crying her own in this small town

The girl was an angel with the white crop and a baggy jean,

Hitting the bar slab asking for drinks

Bartender pours her some tequila and lime

She! Checking her watch as she got no time

Tick! Tick!

The time is flying,

On every drink the girl is dying

Innocent me can’t see her cry

Thoughts popping in my brain

I should walk and talk give a try

As I think of walking through

She smiles at me with the teary eyes

Curious me walks to her asked if she’s fine

She looks at me with a blank face

I stand there with a curious look

She gazes me and hugged me tight

Murmurs unclear words I guess I heard one word right

Heart break is what she said all the tears she was holding back

Came down rolling on her Cheeks

From Nowhere I hugged her back

Now two broken hearts are a stack

The bars closing the voice we heard

It’s 2 o’clock as we check the clock

I guess it’s time we should have a-walk

She just gave a nod, as she sobs and talk

We walked through the streets

5 o’clock and sun says “HI”

It’s a new day is what I can say

Saw her face the tears are dry

The idea of missing flight

I guess was right

Two broken hearts hugged tight

As sun starts to shine bright

We both head to the places we know

In different words we call it home

All the sorrows that we forgot

A new friendship on the trot

The idea of missing flight was right

Heavy hearts we left behind

To the new start in the life

We washed our sins in the night

The idea of missing flight was right
