The Banyan Tree
The Banyan Tree
Deep rooted are they within me
In the soil of my innermost psyche
Just like the banyan tree perfectly upheld
In the arms of arial roots that hold.
The treasures of my life
Are my these memories gold
Strengthening me when I aloof
And show the way when I find myself crossed.
Over the years we gather
Some memories which are sweet
That remains evergreen in our heart
Ever since they get imprinted forever.
The others are those memories
That makes tears roll down
Every time they pop up in our mind
But teach a lesson that is wise.
As the petals of rose unfold
Spreading fragrance throughout
Such is our memories as they unfold
Rejuvenating every element that broke out.
As I look through the tiny drops of rain
That departs from cloud dark above
Holds his image sublime
Reminding of everything that united us again.
Memories are my strength
Key to be going all the time
As it never leaves me alone
Nor it lets pessimism encroach.
