STAINED EVERY PALM
STAINED EVERY PALM
They were gifted a life most beautiful
Garden of Eden with plentiful
Adam and Eve, childlike in every way
Love making, changed everything one eventful day
Here we are , by-products from that act
Unsure, a fable or fact
Nevertheless, our gift ‘life’ too precious
Today survival is prime, challenging and tedious
Planet Earth bursting from the seams
Crushed in the process is nature and dreams
Kill, rape, murder or cheat the ‘ norm’
Methods in plenty, innovative every form
Space in short, trees cut and land reclaimed
Homes, factories and skyscrapers for the acclaimed
Poor still struggle joining the circle
They wonder ……is life indeed special?
Nature revolts – storms, floods, droughts and epidemics
Numbers crazy – calamities and their statistics
Every human guilty , hands soiled with ash and blood
Tears roll , torture no more buried in the mud
Making amends challenging and gruelling
Messed up every neighbourhood and surrounding
Where to begin – a big question?
Intelligence at work , seeking the best option
Are we at the end of the road?
Where Garden of Eden has taken the load
Shrieks resonate , environment sobs
Mother Earth’s womb in agony throbs
Clean up sooner than later
You and I guilty of murder
Before you inflict more pain
think of our wonderful MOTHER!
