Salute To Our Freedom-Fighters

Let us give all of today to the soldiers who have lost their lives,

And understand the sorrow and grief gone through by their children and wives,

Let us value the independence our freedom-fighters have fought for our nation,

And cherish and value this day with true dedication,

Let us celebrate independence and equality,

Let us be thankful to the military,

Let us celebrate the day India became a self-governing country,

And the day our country became free,

Shout out with joy and glee,

We're as happy as can be,

Happy Republic day to all my fellow Indians!
