The Never-Ending Battle

A constellation of thoughts,

The light and the dark strenuously fought,

Both with the will to make it out of the narrowing tunnel,

Each threatening to consume the other,

Both, in their own ways, grotesque and powered purely by will,

Losing sight of the shore,

The tunnel couldn’t take anymore,

And when it all came crumbling down,

They still couldn’t coexist with one another.
