Prompt 1
Prompt 1
I was wearing a mask all along.
You forgot that I too have a life,
In your selfish acts.
Unmindful you used me
Forgetting totally,
I have to take care of others too.
When you exploited me continuously
I got irritated and said,
“Stop this, my child!”
The distressed me
Decided to teach you a lesson.
Now you are in my shoes.
Gasping for breath.
Underneath the mask
Surrounded by uncertainty and sadness.
Look at me,
I’m breathing happily now-
Even without a mask.
Did you learn anything?
Harmless is your small need,
But, disastrous is your greed.
