Pain and Separation

The pain of separation cuts like a knife,

Tearing at my heart, disrupting my life,

For you were the one, who made my heart sing,

And now that you're gone, there's no joy in anything.

The memories of us, are etched in my mind,

A constant reminder, of what I've left behind,

The love that we shared, now seems so far,

And the pain of separation, leaves a permanent scar.

The days are long, and the nights are dark,

Without you here, I'm a lonely heart,

The warmth of your touch, the sound of your voice,

Are now just echoes, of a love that was once a choice.

The pain of separation, is a heavy weight,

That I carry with me, from morning till late,

The tears that I cry, the ache in my soul,

Are the signs of a love, that was never meant to grow old.

The future looks bleak, without you by my side,

The pain of separation, is hard to hide,

But I know in my heart, that one day we'll meet,

And the pain of separation, will be bittersweet.

For though we're apart, our love will never die,

And the pain of separation, will be the reason why,

Our love will grow stronger, with each passing day,

And the pain of separation, will eventually fade away.
