Night Time Glory
Night Time Glory
I see the lights beneath me,
From dusk to dawn,
Billions of tired people,
And their dreadful lives in the city ...
Are they who I ought to be?
I see the lights above me,
Twinkling and so astonishing,
Billions of secrets hiding,
The world seems so hazy....
Is this where I ought to be?
Irresistible as my reality could be,
I try my best,
I try to relieve myself, success or a learning step,
I see twilight from my struggle so keen,
I wish for a new morning, I wish for a new me.
I reach for the stars,
I try to chase my dreams;
Is it just a midnight glory?
I emerge as the new me,
Now I know what I've ought to be...
