My Study Room

Time has come to hear the drops of rain on my verandah,

Time has come to count the humming birds on my balcony.

Seated alone in my room on a comfortable chair,

I stare at the balcony as these birds appear and disappear,

As if playing the game of Hide & Seek with me.

Tonight my solitary room supports tremendous quiet,

Tonight my solitary room experiences an uneasy calm,

Although the twilight is itself a virtual riot & mess.

I am glad that I am confined in the comfort of my room,

And not at Taj Residency or at Grand Hyatt.

My pen, writing pad, notes, posters, folders and laptops,

All hang together (around me) comfortably well with poise & dignity,

After all, "Pain" happens to be my favorite resort room,

Pain is indeed located in my Study room !
