My Path

My path was chosen, they said

I'll be just like my dad, they said

Why is it like this?

My future has been chosen

Not knowing what I can do.

I am writer

But not many know it,

The ones who do

Enjoy it and praise me.

But as my future, they say it's against my culture.

How much will you earn?

Everyone said.

Is earning everything I thought,

What if I don't enjoy it a lot.

Is it bearable,

To do I don't even like,

Giving false hopes to everyone,

Knowing I'll never be the one

They wanted me to be.
