MY MOTHER

The angelic smile that you behold with silence, 

The comfort that rejuvenated me on your lap with compliance.

Often I would imitate you over walking with a vanity bag,

Those loud cheer would instill passion to enrich life.

Your silent heart always sang the beautiful songs of love and affection,

Which remained unheard and unnoticed to the world in a circumspection. 

You instilled all the moral values to respect individuals,

You taught me to accept challenges when life pricks over a calamity or adversities.

As a candle you illuminated my life like a deity who caressed and cared,

You embraced me and calmed me whenever I was desperate to rebel.

I miss the solemn touch of your comforting fingers,

As you hold me tight while crossing the roads or climbing the stairs.

I miss your heavenly fragrance when you hugged me,

Over your chest and helped me to sleep.

Those musical riddles that kindled my heart to listen to your melodies,

The strong gestures that enchanted me to witness your powerful dance in a solidarity.

Like a rainbow in my life,

 You drew so many paintings with various colours.

With abundant love, care and concern you raised my confidence and courage,

As a strong personality I can present myself in platforms of art, culture and debates.

How enjoyable were those days when we enthralled over the festivals and travels,

Being dignified you performed in several functions or cultural programmes.

That strength in your silent reciprocation always appealed to me,

How to combat life without much complaining!

With constant acclimating with the ferocity of nature,

You constantly forbore the torment whenever the hostility of others pestered. 

You are symbolic of a dove in a divine grace, 

Your confidence always impacted me with a certain appraise.

To spread love and affection with a gentle smile, 

To acknowledge all for their good qualities in a beguile.

Your strong personality was extremely appealing, 

As you chased the vapid empty words;

 Of the hostile, prejudiced and vanity of the conceited and subterfuged minds.

I have always worshipped you in my chariot of thoughts, 

While embellishing it with deep faith, devotion and sincerity.

Often I float in the sensitivity in a deluge, 

Reminiscences of my childhood honk the emotions in a stooge. 

In my fairytale stories as I look at the mirror,

And enquire desperately " Mirror! Mirror! who is the best mother of all in this universe ?

The mirror replies " You are blessed and you are fortunate " 

The best mother resided in your abode to create you as a benevolent individual ".

To that I feel the misery all at once, 

In my loneliness I miss your company and warmth. 

To beautify my life you were an angel as you used the magic wand,

To bless me with this beautiful life by sacrificing endlessly.
