My Life Line

He's a man with a soft heart

But his ego sometimes tears him apart.

He loves deeply and cares so much,

But sometimes he struggles to stay in touch.

His kindness shines like a Star 

And his love for me will never weaken,

But when his pride gets in the way,

He can work hard and achieve his way

I see the pain in his eyes,

When he realises he's told a lie.

His conscience weighs heavy on his heart,

But his ego won't let him make a fresh start.
