Money! A Curious Stuff

Money! A Curious Stuff

Money! A curious stuff

Consisting of a printed paper

With or without commodity backing.

What matters is a number printed on its face,

It is tangible.

It is transitory like Monsoon  showers;

It can disappear like a straw in the wind or

Like tears in the rain.

But if dealt with care, miracles happen,

Even in despair.

Money! So impermanent that it can disappear

In carelessness, in a moment from an adolescents's pocket

in a teenager's desires and dates, in an instant gratification.

It can leave ones domain in mismanagement,

In pleasure when gained from the satisfaction of a desire

Or lack of thoughtfulness or care.

Money is there with different faces.

The Money is needed for survival

For food, clothing, shelter, for countering

That hardship, the pain or even death.

Money is needed to add to luxuries

For those with heavy pockets;

Showbiz! Unsought  gift for huge bucks.

The clothes, shoes worn once or never, look for an exit

From those racks and cupboards, making space for the new arrivals

Though never required.

Money is spent on whim, on those global brands, impulse

It has no end, but I'm afraid and helpless too,

If unmanaged, what to do when more urgent need arises

And when it is not there, already gone without a thought.

The money that is real, truely valuable

Is for those parents looking for a comfort with calculated bucks in the pocket

And a girl hiring a taxi to be safe from those  mischievous minds

Or the one who works late night hours to meet his ends

To arrange a meal or a supper for those with least to eat.

You have it, a great joy and everywhere you enjoy,

If not, causes a great pain and discomfort.

But if manged well, Too much of it can do

And A little can do as well.

Wisdom and care, the two virtues

Multiplies it magically, majestically.

Optimum Money saved for rainy days or for old age ,

Even when the time frame for such events is not certain

But was it not the same money that was saved by a father

For his family and later

The trend followed by generations after generations……

I know it may seem sarcastic, strange, a paranoid"s look out

But the fact remains expenses are everywhere

Not hard to meet them, or treat them,

If dealt with wisdom.

Money in the truest sense is really a curious stuff

Produced by the harnessing of imagination, the inheritance

Of different resources.

Treat it consciously, thoughtfully, lovingly,

And live the life, happily! Merrily!
