Maybe

Maybe we need to wait a little longer,

Maybe people are right,

Good things take time,

And definitely a strong fight.

Maybe we need not wait,

Keep chasing and running,

With the fear of being late,

And definitely losing a lot,

During the chase, amidst the way.

Maybe we kill a lot,

Blood relations and even special bonds,

Maybe we kill a lot,

Burning forests, poisoned ponds.

Maybe we isolate a lot,

Crying mother and ageing dad,

Maybe we isolate a lot,

The natural green for the man-made green.

Just like this star we're born everyday,

Through the night, through the darkness,

Even after the storms,

Something beautiful in us always stays.

But instead of hanging on to the beautiful,

Instead of embracing what we have,

We go on shatter what's left,

We go on the darken this world a little everyday,

Believing we didn't deserve this,

Believing we were something bigger,

But maybe we are wrong,

There is no meaning of light without accepting a little darkness,

Maybe we are the prize,

That this nature, our parents, our loved ones,

Didn't deserve to win.
