Love Should Remain Blind

It’s good that love is blind.

Had it not been so,

It would have been trapped

In a cesspool of fault lines created by us.

It’s good that love is blind.

Should it open its eyes,

It would see the façade

But might not fathom the solicitude in the air.

It’s good that love is blind

As only an unsighted love can see the humanity

—A love that comes out of discomfort
