Lift Yourself Up

Sailing through the wind could lead him to shore

Masts were strong enough to guide him

Deck was strong enough to take on collision

Yet, he drowned, Why couldn't he endure?

His cancer could be cured

Only if he would not have obscured

His inner stress engulfed him like a plague

Thus, one more life left us in vain.

She was living a carefree life full of fun

Until one day she was raped and mauled

She could lift herself up again

But suicide should not have been the first resort

He was courageous enough to charter his own course

But destiny played a game

Nature opposed him and tamed him

So, his aspirations were shattered and forced him to drain.

A slave could free himself up

Only if he dared to fight and lift up

But savagery he faced in past

forced him to tremble and shake.

He was satiated by his first job

But still, the life was uncertain

Much had to be done to fulfill all dreams

But, now, he couldn't think beyond that cage

How people can settle for less?

When there's lot to explore

How people can negotiate

When whole territory can be yours

Remember, failure does come in everybody's life

But shattering your hopes is not an option

Delete these negative words from your dictionary

Because confronting them with courage is the solution.
