Life's Real Lesson

Into relations are you born,

Be it a daughter or son.

From birth you are loved and accepted,

But in return a lot is expected.

You start learning step by step as you grow,

Whatever you see around is all you know.

Whether you live as rich or poor,

Whether you get beaten inside or outside the door.

No one ever gave you the real life lesson,

That failure is not something to be frowned upon.

No one ever told you that it is okay to want something different,

That it is Okay to not excel in everything and still be content .

No one ever told you that everything you do is not a competition,

That your every failures and successes creates the path to self-realisation.

You own your own mistakes, no one else can take the blame,

You choose your own paths and never should get scared to follow them.

Life is a collection of thousands of moments, and there is an important lesson that it teaches,

More you try to grab it in a close hand more you lose it, like holding sand grains in the beaches.

However hard you try to find a solution to what is happening now,

Only time will tell you how.

Life is a two way trip,

Full of steps that you can't skip.

When you are down, the only way is up,

When everything is lost, you can play the trump.

You try to live up to everyone's expectation,

You try to fulfill your obligation.

But a single mistake holds you down,

And into a web of sorrow and guilt you drown.

But everyone should be told,

It is okay to be scared of cold.

When you think you have nothing else left to lose,

Not giving up is the only option you can choose.

So Stand up and fight for what you feel is right,

Climb up from the dark cave and travel towards light.

Because you have the power own the choices and create,

And build yourself to even defeat your fate.
