Life Goes On
Life Goes On
Sometimes there are days when the bright sunlight warms your heart
You feel like holding on to it forever as it tends to guide your path
And then again there are days of downpour; you see no vessel to escape
You feel your world closing in; you start to drown; you see nothing far and wide
The times you wake up to wet and salty eyes
There are longings for being held, for being told "I care"
You may dream of the best moments or live them – whichever you choose
But those will just be good memories to them and to you
People may come and go as they please, you know
But, who matters are the ones who stay behind, the ones of a different kind
Maybe not in person but forever in your heart
As said, the souls never really depart
What defines life may differ from me to you
But in the end, my friend, it's just a summation of two
And so, life GOES ON ...
