I Saved The Life Of An Insect
I Saved The Life Of An Insect
I saved the life of an insect today,
It was a mystical green creature,
It's little legs were all coloured in gray,
A beautiful life in miniature.
I saw him struggling to get up,
As a 'big' drop of rain fell on him,
Its little wings flattered,
As the shock must be too painful for him.
It was stuck beside the 'big' window,
Beside the window, where I had my seat,
And when I saw him struggling,
I decided it was time for the two worlds to meet.
I looked at my class teacher,
And made sure no one could see,
For what I was doing was not something to do,
And I would be defined crazy socially.
I took that little creature,
Into the warmth of my hand,
It crawled on my fingers rather nervously,
And sat down beside my friendship band.
I waited for quite sometime,
And then the beauty came,
It unleashed it's heavenly wings widely,
And I thanked God I wasn't sane.
It started to crawl all over my hands,
Playing with me like a child,
Sometimes it flied and kissed me on my nose,
I wondered what was on it's mind.
But then it was the time to depart,
I understood as it quiet downed,
And thanked me in the most wonderful way,
Crawled up on my hands and then shoulders,
And then it took a flight into the little ray of the sun,
I think it must have whispered a thanks,
As it stayed there, and kept looking at me for a while,
It spread its wings and sparkled in colours,
A beauty the rest will never find,
Its wings reflected a little rainbow,
Where it had stayed on my hand,
And then it flied into heaven,
And I came back on the land.
I saved the life of an insect today,
And it thanked me for that.
