I Feel Privileged
I Feel Privileged
No matter what I make in a month
I always walk into the classroom with a huge smile
With a book in my hand and chalk on the board
All set to take on the world
I need to plan a lot to hold your attention
But still, I feel privileged.
I make you read
I make you write
I ask you questions which force you to think
You might hate me for this
But still, I feel privileged.
There are days when you are bad or rude
There are days when you say rat ate your homework
There are days when you might look at me like a stranger
The very next day you might treat me like your buddy
But still, I feel privileged.
You might not show that you care for me
But the day I take leave I know you would have missed me
So the next day when I return, the relentless questions that you ask me
I know for sure that you found it hard to stay without me
I know I have made a difference in your life
And I feel very privileged
Because no other profession gives you the right to create the future.
