I Always Wonder
I Always Wonder
I always wondered,
If a woman's life isn't an elastic.
Stretched and flexed
By hands numerous.
To be resilient against an oversized ego,
Yet remain gentle on an innocent soul.
To withstand the force of nature and man,
Yet to hold its own.
To adapt and accomodate,
To be buoyant and yield,
To spring back to normal,
Grace with nerves of steel.
Woman, you are all this and more.
Extend, to outreach above and beyond,
I always wondered if a woman's life
Isn't as it always seems.
