From A Hill Top, Mainak Hill

Frequently I behold the scene

Of my hometown, Ranpur, its name

From the top of a hill, Mainak hill

So charming romantic gives gigantic thrill

On standing, holding the rod surrounding the boundary east, west covering

Towards the east, a lost royal palace

Tells out the history under solace

Rule and reign of the King and Queen

All missed in the cruel flows of time

But one incident now even dazzles

The tale of freedom fighters reveals

The period of fighting for freedom

And my locality fully involves

Sacrificing the lives of near and dear ones

I salute them the Martyrs

From this hilltop always.
