Freedom In The Air

Freedom is what we always wanted,

Don't take that freedom for granted,

The freedom we got after a lot of struggle,

It is not something you juggle,

Think of our forefathers, sacrificing their lives, its true,

Think of the suffering they went through,

So respect you Flag, your Anthem, and Country,

Our forefathers fought, so our future could be free,

As countrymen, let us honor them by taking a bow in silence.

Think the plight of the freedom fighters, Imagine the violence,

They might have suffered, but it was always do or die,

That was always the battle cry,

So let us celebrate this independence,

Keeping the martyrs in mind.

Let us not leave their memories behind,

For its because of them, we are, 

Celebrating independence day,

So as to salute, the flag of our country, in tandem

For nothing else matters to us, but the exhilaration of our freedom.
