For Even Time
For Even Time

I try to see
The line between
Soft edges of unbroken eternities;
The will is there,
But the might was lost
When sharp swords cut seeker from sought.
I will find it one day,
The final act of Dream;
And when the aeon is done, a world will spin away.
As dark sweet silence
Encompasses infinities,
I know that even infinity can never last.
When the mighty dinosaurs lost into disappearance,
When a billion bright sunsets have faded to grey,
The last will be left,
Weeping, bereft,
For their worlds long gone;
But in death there is life,
And even in dusk, there is hope of new dawn.

Why fear for the future? - it once was past,
And will be again - for even eternity can never last.
A billion bright stars
Shine in the sky,
And a billion hopeless voices all whisper, "why?"
Whoever knows the answer
May never speak up,
But still there *is* hope, as always and again:
"Even in dusk, there is hope of new dawn."
When all is lost,
And dark shadows arrive,
Mourning only, in the dark, shall survive.
But in a light space
Between time and Time,
A song will be sung, and light will grace the sky.
Time is over,
And Time has passed,
For Even Time can never last.
