Dear Librarian
Dear Librarian
You are the keeper, the preserver of knowledge
Hundreds of books, you cleverly manage
Of different worlds, you hold the key
I don’t know how you do it so easily.
I remember, eight years back
When you showed me my first book rack
And placed a book into my tiny arms
That little gesture was full of charm.
With me, incredible patience you had shown
You led me to fantastical worlds unknown
You always kept your caring eye on me
Watching me lose myself in fantasy.
You taught me the meaning of ‘imagination’
For me, you provided the best navigation
Dear librarian, a big ‘thank you’, I want to say
Without you, I wouldn’t have been what I am today.
