Dawn
Dawn
If there is no sunrise,
And no dawn, only darkness
And you are closed in a dismal dungeon
Knees together, forehead placed
There is no one to hear you cry.
After all, everyone cries,
There is nothing new in crying
And happiness like never existed
Is this life?
For once, open the window,
See the sun crossing the horizon
Wind touching and whispering love,
Grasses and trees swaying merrily,
There is no darkness but light
You throw yourself out of the dungeon,
And you fly higher and higher.
