Covid made us do it
Covid made us do it
Coming out of the slums dwelling in the streets
Working in the factory thinking about pricks
Someone is in creeps someone is in drips
Someone fighting for survival
Someone for his deeds
Covid made everyone realise their misdeeds
Made us confined in our places confined in our rooms making most of it is still in our dreams
Somehow somewhat we went through
Somehow someday we overcame sorrow
Still some were left in their furrow
Languishing in their burdened burrow
Fighting each day for their survival
Lockdown made things worse for their revival
Losing jobs and opportunities in betrayal
Thriving became a saddened portrayal
Losing out relatives losing out jobs
Thinking of survival gave them goosebumps
Out in the wild suffering with pain
Somehow being ignored in their disdain
Some are living hoping to get aid
Some are hoping for a miracle instead
Some are trying to find solace in bed
Some are begging to get a funeral for dead
Changes brought out by pandemic is inevitable
Though bringing a smile in this period is invaluable
Hoping for rescue from our invisible shackles
Hoping we get freedom from it with a lot of miracles
