Coronas Not Only 'Corona'
Coronas Not Only 'Corona'
Wearied by isolation
We set forth on a motion
Hey! No more lockdown
Hey! No more social distance
Romantic was the weather
Morning, cool and breezy
Greeneries all around
Exotic flowers surround
Holding each others' hands
Slowly we stroll to a
Beautiful piece of land
The romance of breeze - we get tranced
Lovely, blue water and her sleekly hands
What an aura, what a romance
It drizzles and we extend our arms
To the large swathe
To the horizon
And to the sky
All at once she jerks
Hey! You! Stop!
Isn't it Corona we are living with?
Only humans does it infect?
Not rain?
Nor the breeze and drift?
Hey! Said I
Set it all aside
Let's take a risk
The "mercy of heaven" we decided to touch
And beautiful flowers we thought to pluck
Acidic, corrosive was the water
As foul-odoured was the flower
Disillusioned with the romance
We jerked off the trance
Fast- forwarded to only a few days ago
Many coronas come, many coronas go
Foul, dirty and muddied lakes
Think of it and your body shakes
In anger, in fear, and for many reasons
We exploited everything all the seasons
There were many coronas before Corona
All our own creations like Corona
Remove the coronas if you want the Corona to go
If coronas stay, Corona may never go
Aware of social distancing she moves away
Ere I understand, to me she clings again
Here strikes thunderous storm
Catastrophes, many catastrophes
All our own creations
What consequences weren't ordinary
Storm, thunder, all dreary
After an oppressive drought
Cyclone and flood stormed
Starvation previously killed
Floods now destroyed
All human miseries have
Consequenced from our greed
There are many coronas, not only the Corona
Remove the coronas if you want the Corona to go
If coronas stay, Corona will never go
