Carpe Diem

Free-spirited, I live in the moment and rejoice; 

Try taming me, swear it isn’t a wise choice;

No surrounding is good enough to settle me at one place;

I am a wanderer who travels at a varying pace.

Come rain, come sunshine I'll still make hay;

Tagging along with interesting ones who come my way;

Picking up things along the way, but attachments noway.

Call me impulsive, spoilt brat sans any emotions;

Yet will demonstrate a fiery battle to all oppressions; 

Socially connected yet prefer heading on solo vacations.

I chase things that give me everlasting joy every time;

Mess with me and I’ll turn rabble-rouser in no time.

A bad-ass and can get meaner than all the boys;

Do attract many, only a few impressed by my dignity and poise;

Free-spirited, I live in the moment and rejoice.

Not being treated equal and harassed is indeed a bad feeling;

Hypocrisy may not allow it to be acknowledged, impacting my well-being;

Initially, I may struggle but eventually will break the glass ceiling.

Failed relationships can’t trample my spirit down;

I’ll re-start in pursuit of compassion rather than frown.

My passion is ignited by fire and will spread at a rapid pace;
