Carousel Of Life
Carousel Of Life
On hot summer days, I sit and fret
About the full furnace of the hour
That scorches my brow and cooks my head
But then it passes, and the rain comes flooding in
During the monsoon days when it pours and pours
I lie down cursing the incessant torrents
Drenching my clothes and soaking my bones
But then the rain stops and the winter comes breezing in
When the nippy winds blow, clouded with snow
I shiver and quiver blaming the bitter cold
That bites into my flesh chilling me to the bone
But then winter melts away as the summer comes sweltering in
Time flies by and year on year, from season to season
The carousel of life circles round and round
Where change is the constant and nothing is forever
Everything about life is just fine till death comes nipping it in.
