Betrayed

I was stabbed in the back,

hit on my head and yet only my heart bled.

As I lay still on the ground with a throbbing wound,

I made a resolution to myself to never trust a soul again as I was betrayed.

But the worst thing about betrayal is that when it comes from a friend and not an enemy,

It leaves a heartache with no remedy.
