Betahasha : Recklessly

Several great men in the world,

With surnames so heavy,

Deeds so pious

And words so furnished

Came and threw things in the face of the world.

Some talked about the earth being round or flat

Some talked about devil. some about heaven,

Some laid down rules for the fairer sex,

Some came up with the term "fairer sex"

Some raised obligation to follow the fair skinned

Some vehemently raised issues of black skinned

Some foraged for flavors unknown

Some excavated to draw theories out of bones

Some positioned themselves to counter opinions

Some took turns to hurl judgments

Some witnessed while being mute

Some rose to powers and argued

Some defined whom we can love

Some said - it is awful to judge

Some redefined physics

Some taught the world how to critique

Some walked on dollar bills

Some advocated that smoking kills

Some drove on the other side of the road

Some claimed they'd built the road

Some assigned sides to it

Some manufactured vehicles to drive

Some discovered charcoal and cement

Some lived regret free, some in repentance

And that is how we all flew carelessly

Submerged in what they did

Floating on what they said.
