In search of the light that I so wish to hold,
New dawn, laden with promises so bold.
So alluring yet so enticing – a dream,
Sometimes a nightmare, a muffled scream.
I wait for the sunshine, in the darkest night,
Vowing not to slumber without a real fight.
If not the Sun, the stars are a company to keep,
It’s not long; there’ll be a crack for light to seep.
The warmness and the golden glow,
And the umpteen hopes in ebb and flow!
