Battling The Invisible Goliath

Touch me not…

Don’t stare, stalk or even dare to plot,

To possess me,

I have survived, the darkest of nights,

The evil’s wrath and enemy’s might,

Don’t you dare with me collide!

Touch me not…

You are now intoxicated, robust, high and strong,

I, like a mimosa plant,

Vulnerable, naïve, terrorised and withdrawn,

Don’t come near,

The Almighty will rescue me from this assault.

Touch me not….

It’s only today that

I have admired those twinkling stars,

Touched the pearl like dew drops,

The freshly mowed grass,

Heard the cockoo’s mysterious call.

Touch me not…..

Let me again befriend

Colourful butterflies and the ugly moth,

The enchanting roses and the prickly thorns,

Marvels of nature that I did forgot,

Let the gentle breeze touch my flowing locks.

Touch me not….

My lovely garden, you cannot blot,

You cannot own me, I will struggle hard,

Marauder Virus! I will fight you through it all,

I will stand tall and that’s humanity’s resolve,

Even though it’s hard, you will never see me FALL!
