And Once Again The Night......

And once again the town falls asleep....

Into a slumber deep

Darkness wraps it tight

With all its vile and might

The sun had gone down long ago...

The moon shines with its pale glow

Stars are set high and far

For it's the late midnight hour

Lights go off one by one...

Till the houses have none

It's the dark wilderness that rules

Away from the world's pushes and pulls

The orchestra of the wild begins...

The crickets taking over, flaunting their arts

An occasional hooting of the owl

And the sleepy dog's growl

The slow wind pierces the air

And touches the leaves, naive and bare

Making them rumble

It's the night again, beautiful and humble!
