Here I arrive 30 minutes before time,

With a longing heart, to receive people who are worth a million dime.

I look around with impatience,

To see different faces of Lord’s myriad creations.

As the wait gets longer,

The emotions start to grow stronger.

Behold the woman, who is enfolded in her lover’s embrace,

And in this montage of emotions, a tiny tear rolls down her pretty face.

I turn around to see people who are here on duty call,

Donning the same uniform they come to work from spring till the season’s fall.

As a family poses for a group selfie,

I can’t stop to think of how we pretend to make a false reality.

Then the plane circles around in the runway,

And this is when my imagination comes to play.

In the trail left behind I see,

A thousand memories hovering over me.

Then it dawns upon my soul that airport is a phase of life where we wait and wait,

To jump off to another before it is too late.

In this time what we look around gets etched into our hearts,

Both agony begins and the bloom of contentment starts.
