Adieu To Home
Adieu To Home
From the foundation to its roof top,
Every bit of my home knew it well,
To cherish life was what I learnt there,
Becoming daddy’s mischievous musketeer!
The aromatic garden with sprinkling flowers,
Which nestled those Kingfisher and Nightingales,
Sung to my beats in the serene night,
Pulling back its darkness from twilight!
Growing could have been the best part though,
Only if I never had to vacate the dwelling,
There, with years what I lived and weathered,
Were none the less some indelible memories I treasured!
‘My room, My nirvana’ was only what I preached,
As a homesick chunk, I lived,
Nightmare it was to leave the home,
Thinking of which made me groan!
Yet they say the written is undeniable,
And you gotta live it with its terms,
Dolefully that happened without a perk,
When the call was raised to leave for work!
Years where seemed seconds,
And time swept away in ecstasy,
The city, the town and alleys bid their adieu,
As I crammed the luggage and shipped through!
