A Falling Leaf

The wind serenely whirled,

The gale had me curled!

Though I stood stubborn,

Cause if I let go then it's all done!

At once I felt content & hesitant,

Yet, to the wind I was resistant!

Knowing one day I'll be gone, Woosh!

I cling to the branch hearing the wind, Swoosh!

If I fear tumbling down,

Then all day I'll wear a frown!

So I find joy in all I can,

Cause I know one day I'll be hidden by the sand,

Cause I know one day I'll be hidden by the sand!
