I want to thank Tony for getting real with us, and for being open about where he needs to be real with himself, because even if you find that you’re the expert in the room, there is still something you can learn. Coaches and guides are going to be important in our lives, that’s why in 12 step we have sponsors. How many times have you cycled through sponsors because they are saying something that is not quite what you want to be hearing? As an artist I know if you give it away for free it may often have no value to the receiver. It is a valuable question that Tony raises.

We also aren’t going to please everyone, and some people we may never forgive us for our past but no matter what we face, we can still recover with love and dignity. Tony is out in the world spreading his work and doing his best. At any moment someone might reject us and if they do so be it, we still have a life to live.
